Bishop Samie Conyers is the Senior Pastor, of Calvary New Life Tabernacle,
located in South East, Atlanta, GA. Bishop Conyers, an ordained minister since
1992 under the United Pentecostal Church International. Bishop Conyers has
been preaching the gospel for thirty-seven years throughout the United States
Bishop Conyers has received degrees from Central Texas College, Frederick
Community College, and a BA from American College of Theology.
Bishop Conyers is married to Lady Brenda (Humes) Conyers and they have one
daughter Senitta Conyers, graduate of Florida Memorial University in Miami,
Florida. Bishop Conyers join the United States Army in June of 1975, and
retired in November of 1998.
Bishop and Lady Conyers started their missionary ministry in 1976 in Junction
City, Kansas. They were soon transferred to Germany for three years, and this
was the beginning of their first of three missionary journeys outside the U.S.
During this twenty-three year military career, Bishop and Lady Conyers have
pastored numerous churches throughout the United States and overseas. They
were placed strategically, and even started churches when there was not one on
base on in their community.
Bishop Conyers is a Civil Rights and Community leader, and has traveled
extensively to West Germany; South Korea; Tokyo, Japan; Italy; and France all
the while, preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to hundreds of
Bishop and First Lady Conyers have been ministering in South East Atlanta for
over eight years and they are active in Dekalb County community and
surrounding areas. Bishop Conyers has learned the importance of meeting the
needs of the people, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Bishop Conyers is
often heard saying, “The Best is Yet to Come, and Souls for the Kingdom!”.
