Our First Lady

Brenda Nadine (Humes) Conyers was born and raised in Miami, FL. She is the fourth of
ten children and received her education from the Dade County Public School district.
She graduated in 1974 from Miami Central Senior High and entered the workforce while
her high school sweetheart, Samie Conyers enlisted into the United States Army.
In 1975, she and Samie Conyers were married and began their journey together at Fort
Riley Kansas. Little did she know, this would be the place where the Lord would begin a
glorious work, their heavenly marriage. In 1976, she and her husband both received the
gift of the Holy Ghost in Junction City, Kansas and the Lord begun making history for

While stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, Sister Conyers went on to complete her studies
at Apostolic Bible Institute of Stuttgart, Germany, under the leadership of Missionary
Dale Starks.

During their holy union, God blessed Brother and Sister Conyers with one daughter,
Senitta Conyers who is Holy Ghost filled and serving the Lord with gladness.
As Brother Conyers continued to serve the Nation, Sister Conyers faithfully served in
the church and community and the Lord began to elevate them in ministry. For over
thirty years, Lady Conyers has supported, served, taught and ministered in many
Apostolic and denominational churches, both in the U.S. and abroad. It is the desire of
Lady Conyers to teach and equip women to be strong in the Lord while taking care of
their homes and flourishing in their careers. To seek the Lord daily in fervent prayer and
greet everyone with a hug and smile.

Throughout her husband’s twenty-three year career with the U.S. Army, every
assignment and order given, was financed by the Army, but ultimately orchestrated by
the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Commander-in- Chief of their lives. During this
journey, the Lord used them to win countless souls at each assignment. Many souls
have gone on to preach the Gospel throughout the United States and across the World.
Bishop and Lady Conyers have been married over forty-one years and currently pastor
a thriving congregation, Calvary New Life Tabernacle, located in South East Atlanta,
Georgia. Calvary New Life is the heartbeat of Lady Conyers and she is looking to God
for even greater things.
